    This is a great weather radio that has multiple functions. It can be charged 3 ways, has good emergency lighting and notification abilities. I have one that I purchased specifically due to Hurricane season. Purchased this one for my grandson who likes to camp. He relies on his phone, but I wanted him to have this, especially with all of the severe weather and flooding we are experiencing.

    I must admit that I had low expectations for this product, knowing where it came from, and the quality of many radios and plastic crank tools that are made. I am pleasantly surprised, as this has a rugged feel, and everything worked as described. It also picked up the nearest weather alert channel, which is 200 miles away, even in a home with a metal roof. Even AM and FM stations won’t come through, so that was a plus, since it was the main reason for buying the product.

    I needed an emergency radio for my emergency go-bag, and this one had many features that I thought would prove useful, the construction of the unit itself is robust, and feels like it can take a hit or more and still work. The volume was good, I did not turn it up completely up, but no fears of not hearing the radio or NOAA. Really nice features including using the hand crank to power it, or the solar panel on the top or if you had access to power in an emergency, can charge via USB-C.The buttons feel good and does require to push in some to hear that ‘click’ but it makes sure you’re wanting to hit that button. This will serve us well during an emergency.

    I would love to give this radio 5 stars. I really like some of the features. It seems well made and everything works great. Except for the radio. AM has nothing. FM has two local stations. You would think you could hear even something far off trying to come in. But nothing. However the weather channel came in great. The reality is it should be sold as an amazing flashlight.

    We had ordered this in the black and liked it so well we ordered this one. This is a good little radio. It is small as you can see by the comparison of it on a paper plate. It can be charged with USB, the hand crank, or the solar panel. Or it can be used with batteries. Has a loud SOS signal with a flashing red light. It also has two lights, one light on the end and one on top. It actually picked up local AM and FM stations as well as weather. The radio is light weight so It is great for backpacks or a bugout bag. This is a nice little compact radio that we recommend .

    Came charged and ready out of the box. Charges my phone at a decent speed. The flashlight isn’t insanely bright but is pretty decent and will run a long time. It also has a neat flip up floodlight that provides weaker but broader illumination, it’s useful but I wish it was brighter. The crank handle I think is a little cheesy, it’s fairly thin plastic that will definitely break if you crank too fast and hard on it. But, it does work and does conceniently fold flush into the main body. The audio quality was pretty good out of the speaker, and honestly it seems hust so versatile …I rate this 5 stars because it performs every function pretty well, but I will add the caveat that they could do better with a brighter floodlight and a stronger crank handle. I doubt there are too many such devices that get you any better at this price, though

    This works well, sometimes too well. I scared the s*** out of myself driving in the mountains when this was bouncing around in the backseat and the siren went off. It’s really loud and effective. The radio works well and the dial is very responsive, as well as the antenna being long and precise as well. I haven’t tried the solar panel function yet but I’m glad to have this in case of a long power outage like we had earlier this year.

    I received this within a few days of ordering. It was packed well and there are no issues with shipping. I have only had time to do a very short test. I cranked the radio for about one minute and, without batteries or solar i was able to listen to a local station for more than 5 minutes (it could have lasted longer). The volume never faded and it was quite clear. I think I made a good buy and would recommend it to anyone.

    Every single person should have this radio on hand. My favorite thing about the radio is that it can be powered so many different ways AAA batteries, Solar, Rechargable by plug in and hand crank. The next best thing is that you can set a weather alarm that will go off anywhere even if it is powered down. Will stay set if battery does not die. The design and style is sleek and very easy to travel and move around. Great for small spaces or outdoor events. Has 2 different lights that are so helpful when the power is out. A reading light strip and a flashlight both are bright and beautiful. Durable and sturdy. Has really great reception with the antena. I like the sound quality and the volume control.     Well designed survival type radio. It is potentially powered from several sources. It has conventional batteries (3 AAA non-rechargeable), Internal Lithium batteries that are rechargeable through a USB C port, a solar cell built into the tiltable solar cell on top of the radio and finally it can be recharged using a built-in hand crank. So there is no reason to run out of power using this radio. As to the radio it works well with local radio stations but the shortwave part of the radio was not as sensitive as it could be. Using the built in antenna, almost nothing was heard. I do live in a fairly noisy electrical environment so I can’t entirely blame the radio. The built-in light can be used for general illumination such as reading and the light built into the side of the radio is more of a regular flashlight. This is the Swiss Army knife of radios and performs well in most aspects. The radio is recommended.

    This radio is very versatile. It has LED lights multiple stations that you can tune into on multiple bands and can be powered by USB, solar, or hand crank. Perfect for emergencies it has a siren that is supposed to be for hurricanes however it is not loud enough to be heard over the wind of a hurricane if you have ever experienced one. Nevertheless, having a portable waterproof radio that works well in emergencies is definitely worth having.

    I purchased this Emergency radio because of the many features. First I love the fact that it has a hand crank if all else fails with the batteries. It has a built in battery, solar power, batteries that you can put in it, or a crank to power it. It can also power your cell phone if needed. I love the fact that it has a digital display so you can find the digital channel and not have to try and twist to hit the correct station. We have already used this radio for a tornado warning here in Oklahoma in November and it did fantastic in an underground cellar and has an antenna too for great reception. After I showed a couple of friends this radio, I have purchased 7 more of them for Christmas presents. This is a must have for weather or just a great radio if you are on the move. Highly recommend!

    I am very impressed with the quality of such an economical technical device. I reviewed many of the 1Star reviews befor I purchased and I was hesitant, but purchased based on price. I have checked all of the complaints as mention in the negative reviews and found that my unit was superior to those concerns. The blast from the alarm woke me at 3:30 to be aware of a heavy thunderstorm coming my way. It was in the standy mode and I was concern that it would not work. The lithium battery was easy to charge with the USB adapter. I have not checked out the solar charge, crank, battery backup, but I don’t believe that I will ever need this. My purpose for the weather radio to be in standy and give me an alert. The controls are easy to use and I am one that does not read instructions. AM/FM? radio was very good. Highly recommend based on price and quality.

You can also charge with the provided USB port or the crank wheel. Charging with the crank takes a bit of energy and time but it allows you to charge under any conditions. I like that I can charge up my phone or computer in case of a power outage. Very good flashlight too.

My old Midland emergency radio internal battery would not hold a charge and the antenna was broken so I was looking for a replacement. So far I am very pleased with the quality and usefullness of this digital radio. It has a lot of gadgets but surprise, they actually work. At about 1/3rd the cost of the Midland radio, it was worth the risk for replacing the retired analog Midland radio

    In Hawai’i we have hurricane season, which spans from June through November. Each year we prep a hurricane/storm kit to be prepared in the event we lose power, water, &/or need to evacuate. An important ingredient in this kit is a radio that is not reliant on electricity. It’s great if it runs on battery power, but in the event battery power is limited, having a radio that runs on manual power (hand crank) is priceless. We’ve had to rely on a hand cranked radio at least a couple of times due to power outages from strong storms. This device includes a very bright flashlight some super loud SOS alert alarms that can be deployed if needed. This is a crucial piece to have an any emergency preparedness kit!

    I worked at NOAA for 37 years. NOAA radio is a must for any household. I bought one for my grandson, who will be going off to college on the East Coast in a hurricane zone. The NOAA channels are a turnkey start. Once WX band is selected, the NOAA weather frequencies are automatically set to come up. Lights, etc., are just gravy. Weather alerts are great during storms. Very intuitive. I doubt he will use the AM/FM, but he also camps near rivers, so this is a must-have for safety. The price is terrific. Great buy highly recommend. The turn crank is pretty useless unless you are a bodybuilder!

    This little radio deserves 10 stars! We live in a fire prone area and, after the tragedy in Texas, decided not to rely on our cell phones for emergency announcements. Based upon other reviews we selected this radio. It is truly amazing. Very, very easy to operate, comes with clear and concise instructions, and does everything it is supposed to do. The battery stays charged for about a week but we just leave it plugged in on our kitchen counter so a low battery isn’t a concern. When on standby mode a little LED red light blinks on the end of the radio to let you know it is still monitoring. And every Wednesday, in our area, a test is done on the system and our radio automatically comes on. It sounds an alarm that would wake the dead and then we hear the test announcements. Usually a local weather update. I am not trying to market anything here, but had there been one of these in every home, at that poor little girls camp, and everywhere else, many, many lives could have been spared. Get One!

Both LED lights are great during an emergency. The only thing I would mention is not to charge the radio while it is playing.     I needed an emergency radio for my emergency go-bag, and this one had many features that I thought would prove useful, the construction of the unit itself is robust, and feels like it can take a hit or more and still work. The volume was good, I did not turn it up completely up, but no fears of not hearing the radio or NOAA. Really nice features including using the hand crank to power it, or the solar panel on the top or if you had access to power in an emergency, can charge via USB-C. The buttons feel good and does require to push in some to hear that ‘click’ but it makes sure you’re wanting to hit that button. This will serve us well during an emergency.

    Okay I just got my weather radio and so far I absolutely love it. The only problem I see with me with it is just right on the back is a red button. Very easy to push and it’s a siren and let me tell you it is loud enough to wake up your whole neighborhood. I wish they would have put that behind something so you would have to open a flap or something because it’s very easy to set off by accident. Scared us half to death so that’s my only complaint that should be covered with something and then you open it and then you push the siren because otherwise you could accidentally push that all the time and let me tell you it is ear piercing. Other than that, I think it’s a really good product so far.

    I live in Oklahoma not too far from an area of the state that gets many tornadoes during storm season.     I got this for a Vine product review to have on hand in case of a power outage, really. I like that it does not require batteries; which can be a problem in an emergency when they run out or you do not have any so it is quite great that you can use batteries but you can also charge it by plugging it in (a good idea to keep it charged) as well as manually and solar. The added features of usb charger and flashlight are also of benefit. Whether for a real emergency, a power outage, for camping, etc this is a great item for a great price of $39.99 to have in any home….and a gift for Christmas!

I ordered several as gifts for friends. Everyone was grateful for theirs.The reception is great, even back here in the mountains. We can charge our cell phones, and the flash light is so handy. Be sure to charge them up when you can, and then,the build in battery last a very long time. They’re light and compact, easy to store, carry, and tune.I recommend everyone get at least one.     After the battery had discharged, I recharged it overnight. Now it won¡¯t turn on, and all I see is a flashing lock icon. Put in auxiliary batteries and still won¡¯t work.Update, the seller got back to me the next day after I made an inquiry. It turns out there is a little reset hole on the right side that is under the big rubber cover for the charging port. I reset it, and it is working fine. I suggested they update their manual and online help page with that info.

    Almost everything this offers I already have, but not in one convenient package. I have radios which work better than this one, except for short wave. I guess I need this for the short wave receiver. Oh, also, I don’t think I have an actual weather channel receiver. I must need this for the weather. Power bank: I have others. Power bank with a solar panel: I have one of these. Flash light: yep I have several of these. Hand crank charging: no, I do not have this on any other device. For me to have all of the functions offered by this device I would have to fill my backpack with lots of other devices. With a full backpack I would still not have a hand crank charger. A couple of little items from the product manual. The solar cell will not provide a full charge on the internal battery. You might get a full charge from the hand crank but I think it will drain your internal energy. Use the charger which came with it. Much easier. Maybe I should keep this. I think it would fit in the trunk of my car right next to my first-aid kit.

    I’ve used tis iweather radio twice wince I received it. Tornadic weather has been growing in the Deep Spitj ad rather than sit and watch a television report, I turn on my radio. It is yellow so I can find it. A shame the color doesn’t shine in the dark! The t transmission is clear, changing stations is easy, and carrung it around is handy with its cloth handle. Our state of MS has been on the lookout for tornadoes, hard rain, and heavy woods. lI feel comfortable to carry it with me when moving out of my apartment into a safe place. I chose a bright color due to weak eyesight. It is easy to tune to the correct station, announcements clear. I carry it to whatever room I’m in, so as not to miss a single announcement.

The radio has a decent reception. Also with the AC Adapter 1*USB Port USB port it can be used to charge devices including cell phones, tablets, and other smart devices. With a 3.5mm headphone jack, you can listen to the radio without disturbing others.

    Bought this after my house got hit by an F1-F2. Just what you need when there’s a risk of severe weather, especially at night. Turn it on, find the right station and go to bed. If an alert is issued an alarm sounds so you can check the weather. Takes a little bit to figure everything out (there’s actually a lot of functionality) but the instructions are good. Nice that there are multiple modes of power and that it can supply power for your devices in the event of a power outage
